Willy Legrand is lecturing in the Faculty of Hospitality Management & Marketing at the International University of Applied Sciences (www.fh-bad-honnef.de), a member of the Leading Hotel Schools of the World. He is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Surrey, UK, and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from TiasNimbas Business School, Netherlands (2002).
At the International University of Applied Sciences he teaches a variety of courses within the Faculty of Hospitality Management & Marketing and he is also co-heading the Practical Programme (the operational segment of the hospitality curriculum). Willy Legrand utilises his years of operating experiences acquired in privately-owned hotel properties in Germany and chain-operated properties in Canada to work on current consulting projects within the hospitality industry.
His research interests are: hotel & restaurant sustainable operations management, brand management in hospitality and sustainable food & beverage management.
His recent publications include articles in journals such as International Journal of Hospitality Management, Tourism Review International, Advances in Hospitality and Leisure, and Tourism: An interdisciplinary Journal.
He is currently co-writing a book on sustainable food & beverage management.
